Little Bertha Bakery has been cracking eggs for years for our artisan cakes and treats. We know a good egg when we see one. In a bid to bring Melbourne the best breakfast egg on the market, we are sharing our secret eggs we use ourselves. We believe them to be the very best and we believe you deserve the best, so in the spirit of generosity, we bring you our eggs from Kinross Farm in the Strathbogie Region of Victoria. We cannot speak more highly of the quality of eggs from Kinross Farm – a second generation, accredited free range egg farm. After all, you can’t whip up a meringue with an egg that doesn’t have the right protein level. And a sponge isn’t a sponge without that gorgeous yolky colour.

 

So Little Bertha has teamed up with Kinross Farm and has cracked into the Melbourne breakfast scene with the freshest and most consistent egg for your breakfast table. The Kinross farmers excel at nurturing, farming and grading, then it’s over to Little Bertha to get them to you. We love handling delicate items and we pride ourselves on service and consistency, so we relish the task.

 

The ‘Born to Bake’ egg is delivered by us to you, directly after being laid. Our happy hens are genuinely free roaming on lush natural pastures protected by guarding Alpacas. For each hectare you will find no more than 1,500 hens. The hens are watered from the farm’s own natural spring water and grain fed, so are free from added chemicals, hormones or other nasties.

 

We’ve got the freshest and most consistent eggs for your breakfast table. We have so much confidence in our eggs that if you are not completely satisfied, we’ll come and poach them for you
